Will I or Won't I - Villa JBR ?

IS it really worth it ?
I have been on BTF for a rather long time & seen a lot of changes over the years.I don't post much these days unless I think I can help with a particular query.
The 2 of us recently went back to Bali for around 2 1/2 weeks & stayed in villas.The 2nd place was organised through networking & was absolutely brilliant but the 1st villa - OMG it was just horrible!
The 2 of us regularly travel domestically & internationally for both for pleasure & business & in over 15 years this is the first time we have got stung so I suppose that's not bad run but gee it still pees you off when someone has blantantly lied to you.We were conned/deceived big time.
I normally consider myself pretty good at reseaching details & thought I did rather well in finding a small private villa without the full bells & whistles at a reasonable prices.But sadly we got stung big time ! Unfortunately the first villa we stayed at was absolute crap with a capital C.It was a real health hazard,very run down & the expat American owner didn't care much at all - or just gave empty promises.
I would like to share details for BTF members but I wonder if it's really worth it since on many occassions if any one says anything negative about Bali that they are hounded down.I would just hate to think that anyone booked the same place as we did & thought the website & details provided were honest like I did.Even our driver & local friends were disgusted at the place.Thank heavens our 2nd villa made up for our horrible time at the the 1st villa.
