You do not have to pay a fixed price.

You can find a metered taxi by picking up a taxi dropping off passengers or by walking towards the aorport gate. I have often caught a metered taxi this way. You have to be quick or the Airport Taxi Mafia will spot you and intimidate the driver.

My wife and daughter caught a metered taxi from the Domestic Terminal. They were spotted by the Mafia and the other drivers surrounded the taxi and intimidated the driver. My wife and daughter were frightened by the actions of the Mafia.
