I just have been to Bali and very much disappointed.
The whole place is ripping off foreign tourists.
Starting with Visa on Arrival which should be paid in cash, and ending with airport departure tax which also should be paid in cash.
Restaurants are so expensive, and they often charge nearly 20% tax and service charge + sometimes 3% credit card fee.
Some attractions have separate prices for foreigners, which is a lot more expensive than the prices for locals!
The taxi drivers will take you to restaurants and shops where they can get kickbacks: they do not work for you.
I feel being ripped off for my entire stay.
Bali is different from other South Asian destinations such as Thailand or Vietnam.
I will never go back to Bali!
