We have a friend in Bali (as do many of us) that we are wanting to bring to Australia on a holiday.

I have searched the forum and have found lots of information regarding visa applications (thanks heaps) but not much information about passports.

Can anyone tell me what he needs other than the below;

*Current photo (How many does he need, 1 or 2 photos?)

*Identification (KTP - is this the equivalent to a drivers licence? as he does ride a bike. And what is a family card? the info I have suggest photo copies of the id as well as the originals)

* Payment upfront - (how much does it cost, Imigration Australia tell me it will cost about $70 australian - is this right, as friends in Bali tells me it may cost more. Im not sure if he ment it would cost more if we wanted it processed quicker. Is this possible?)

Is there anything else he will need for this application?

Lastly, does anyone know how long it takes untill the passport is ready - and will he have to go and pick it up? We are hoping to holiday in July but flights are filling up. We can't even think about the visa untill he has his passport.

Thanks in advance.
