was a figure used by way of an estimate. The original poster indicated that their friend wished to visit Australia. First, an Indonesian passport is necessary, then an Australian visa, then a ticket. Allowing for worst case scenario and the friend maybe having to make a couple of trips to BOTH Embassies, plus maybe wait in the inevitable cue.... I simply thought it pertinent to point out that maybe a drink or some food might also be included in the overall cost... after all... it is the Aussie sponsor who has to send the money... and it is easier to send a few dollars extra rather than incurr an added cost of TT because one has under estimated by a few bucks. As you rightly point out, a trip to just the Australian embassy cost you 700 thousand... you need to include ALL possible costs to provide a budget!
