Beef brisket is commonly used in Indonesian restaurants, esp for Rendang. I buy most of my meat from an Asian butchery in Northbridge here in Perth (I'm usually the only non-Asian there & over the years they've got to know me). But I cannot buy brisket there. They say their stewing beef (which, BTW, is a far better buy than supermarket chuck with no fat & cheaper) is the same as brisket & perhaps that's true. The supermarkets here don't have brisket.
So, does someone actually know what brisket is & where I can buy it in Perth???
