Early morning walks on Kuta beach provide beautiful views of three volcanos to the north east, Agung being the highest and most symetric.
The morning pink/grey light and the outlines of the mountains provide a spectacular sight.
The tide is out and sand firm for walking, and the accompanying local dog checks out all other canines with little snarling and barking as they seem calmed also by the surrounds.
This is "tranquil" Kuta, to be changed later into vibrant Kuta as the beach bar guys clear their patches ready for another days trade on Balis best atmosphere beach.
This mornings walk was a bit different, following the river road north through Legian and on to Seminyak.
The river itself isn't exactly the Swan, but many local businesses and homes are all along here, and it's an interesting walk.
I am surprised that there are so many fish in the river, and plenty of rods are in view, but not a lot of biting happening.
Back along Jl. Sri Rama, into Padma Timor and through to Jl. Bunut Sari.
Stop at Luci Warung for an excellent breakfast and experience another of Kutas fascinating micro communities.
Short rain last night, but fine and clear today.
San Mig today as a change to Bintang....it's a bit lighter and easier on the head I think.
Tuban tonight to a friends new warung, this to offset the relatively high price of the meal last night at Malos in Jl. Nakula.
Excellent Swiss style meals and mid priced in nice surrounds.
More from Kuta later.
