I too walked away from the relative sophistication of Seminyak to the
loud brash drunken sewer they call Kuta on Friday night. Great to watch the spew and drunken louts going crazy under the neon lights of Kuta oh wonderful Kuta and walk with the spew under foot and marvel at the creativity of mass tattooed yobbos male and female representing their country and to be offered everything every few metres and wonder why so many are despising the ugly tourist when it could be so different. The holidaying Brits are despised in parts of Europe and the Aussies seem to have learnt that when on holidays anything goes and if you do stuff up then there's always an embassy to get you out.
I wish it could be different and a touch of moderation and respect would be so nice on this island. Rhonda I just can't see why you think Kuta is a magical place you obviously know the place well hence my trip in to see it again and I remain convinced that it is an embarrassment. I know kids are kids but there is a certain robustness in Kuta that is worrying.
I want a job at Imigrasi :) and the fire department after this posting.
