My daughters friend and her family just back from bali told us about a family staying in legian wont say to much for privacy to the family, but it needs to be told for others who go to bali as a warning.Young ones staying at hotel a week before their familys arrived hired motorbikes were cautioned couple times about way they were riding. When family arrived one of the boys took one of their family members for a quick ride up rum jungle road didnt get too far they hit a truck no helmets one died the other in hospital this is a terrible accident and it happens way too often and we dont hear enough about it to get the message across that it can be dangerous to ride a motorbike in bali.Too many tourists especially the young go there feel free from restrictions we have at home, some dont have licenses most dont wear helmuts(no coverage from insurance companys also) this is the tragic end to a happy holiday that may not have been avoided but by wearing a helmut and not taking bali roads for granted the outcome may have been different? My daughters friends family are also so upset from what they have witnessed as I said a sad sad story that we all can feel for the family involved!
