for reminding people. we drive every day in Bali and although the Balinese women seem to be the ones that fall off more often the amount of tourists flying past us without helmets is staggering and they nearly run into the back of their own friend when then have to stop suddenly.

Driving at least 6 hours a day, everyday in Bali we witness some terrible accidents with bikes and when you have to slam on your brakes to avoid running over someones head who has slid across the road in front of you (no helmet or helmet not strapped on) then you start to realise how it may not be the coming off the bike but what happens next. The last accident we gave away our motorbike (never again), we were driving the car on the highway to Nusa Dua, 4 motorbikes crashed in front of us,my husband had to go up on the median strip to avoid running over a baby that had rolled across the highway. 2 men died, one fled the scene (the one that caused it by crossing lanes in from of 4 bikes), baby okay. I have lost count of how many dead bodies I have now seen having never seen one in my life before coming to Bali, all from motorcycle accidents.
