Hello all!
Well, after many months of trawling the forums and archives here we have finally finalised our plans for Bali. We are a family of 7 (Mum, Dad and our five beautiful babies aged between 10 and 15 years) traveling to Bali for my sister's wedding. Hubby and I have been once before 5 years ago (stayed in Seminyak and Lombok) but this will be the kids' first overseas trip. We are all very excited. Costing us a fortune but hey, it's only money!!!
Anyway, I wanted to show our itinerary to you all in the hope that you will tell us if we are doing too much, better alternatives, suggested extras etc.
So....
We fly into Bali late on the 21st April. Staying in Canggu for 6 nights. Planning a couple of day trips...Safari Park on one day, to Treetops Adventure Park and Bedugul area on another day. Also buggying one afternoon. Plus my sister's wedding one evening and a couple of days of just wandering around, eating, shopping, swimming, relaxing.

Transferring to Amed on the 27th for 3 nights. Sightseeing along the way. Thought we'd take the coastal route up there and the inland route on the way back south. Planning a sailing trip for some swimming, snorkeling and reef fishing one day and a day of nothing one day.

Transferring to Ubud on the 30th for 5 nights. Planning rafting one day and cycling on another. Rest of the time just relaxing. Plus some dances and/or shadow puppets one evening.

Have a driver booked for our days out and for transfers to Amed and back. Planning a rest day in between most planned activities.

Leaving Bali midnight on the 5th May. We have late check out at our Ubud hotel so all our bags can stay there till 6pm. Then I am thinking dinner somewhere and then to the airport by about 10pm. Any ideas on what to do on this last day?

OK, so what do you think? Too busy or just right to keep kids entertained, involved in the Balinese culture, but plenty of time for sleeping in, playing in the pool, relaxing too? Any points of interest in the areas we will be in that are not to be missed?

Also, the kids will have their own spending money... what is the best way for them to carry this around... backpack, money belt?... please remember these are teenagers so there is no way they will use a bum bag or anything dorky!!!

As for money... we obviously will need to take a fair amount. I am thinking some cash, an ATM card and a credit card as backup. What do you think?

Last question... bali belly... I know about not drinking the water, hand sanitizer, no dodgy food etc. Might try the raspberry syrup stuff and/or yakult. Is there anything else I can do to hopefully prevent any or all of the kids getting sick? And if they do what is appropriate treatment for kids? And if they need a jab from the doctor... what is in the injection exactly? Of course, we will definitely have insurance just in case.

OK, sorry for the long post and thank you in advance for any and all comments.
