Have taken my 11 yr old over 10 times now since she was about 5 and i have been 18 times and neither of us have been sick and we usually stay for 3 weeks and eat up in villages and used to eat years ago off street carts - so really just think depends on your body and just being unlucky. I must say we do use the hand gel when we remember and we do drink alot of juice and also yakult there. Did do the raspberry cordial thing once and thought what am i doing??
Always use the bottled water.
My husband was sick once overnight ate salad which i didnt. Try to stick to things you know have just been cooked and would have a reasonable turnover.
Are you planning to go up further than Bedugul ? ie Lovina
Definately take aqua ear and travel sickness tabs prob main thing youll need with the driving, pools and if you go out on the boats /cats.
We are going to stay in Ubud this time and looking at doing one of the workshops eg mask making at the Museum or taking my daughter to do Silvermaking course where they can make their own piece of jewellry.
Still love going to Bali Zoo, Bali bird park and Reptile Park but best to be there when they open.
Monkey forest worth a visit and love Loyus Cafe for lunch if shopping near the market.
Might try Ibu Oka for traditional Babi Guling this time as well.
Kids your age prob would love the Kuta area more to be able shop etc
We usually try to do a busy day of sightseeing one day then b/fast and hang by pool, massages etc the next day then head out for sunset drinks and tea and of course then the usual spot of shopping on the way back.
