I returned from Bali last month after a 28 day trip there. I did not get Bali Belly once.
I never ate from street stalls and only ate from restaurants with a large number of customers. I figured that such restaurants quickly turn over the ingredients, so there was less reason for the food to be off.
I also took an antibacterial hand wash with me which I used frequently.
Bali has now improved health standards. I actually saw for the first time, health inspectors going through a restaurant in Kuta.
