I can't help but think about our early days in Bali, mostly in the 90's, it just seemed so different then. I miss the Peanuts Pub Crawls with Action Jackson & Jimmy Cricket, sitting in the convertibles & open top bus screaming around Kuta, the black texta tattoos & head scarves.
I miss Norm's Sports Bar on Legian street with Tolly serving us our drinks.
I miss Joe Cool touting out the front of Taman Gardens in his police uniform & huge sunglasses.
I miss seeing the very old man on crutches begging for a few rupiah on Garlic Lane, he's probably long gone now.
I miss the blind guy at Bali Intan who used to give the best massages. In fact, I miss the Bali Intan, we had so many great stays there.
I miss the old days at the Garden View with Donald & Tommy Gun making our stay there so much fun.
I miss the Pub O'Barrell that used to be downstairs as the Padma, we had so many great nights there in '94 with the Band Proper from the Phillipines, they were so good. There top song was Tina Turner's, Simply the Best ie "Simply Da best, better Dan all the rest, better Dan anyone, anyone I ever met...."
God, I love Bali & all the great times we have had there over the years.
