I went to Bali for the first time there was a dirt road up to Legion, very few accom places in Tuban area (farms were there), only cassette tape shops, hardly any fixed price shops, no junk food places like McD, KFC......, lots and lots of hat/watch sellers that would chase you down the road, bemos (How many people could we fit into the bemo?),lots of partying, clothes with dye that would run in the wash. The memories!!!!
Many trips later I still enjoy the place with all the changes. I also enjoy getting away from the busy area and travelling to some of the less touristy parts. Must be something to do with getting older.
