Coinsidences

I am at home today so I thought I might post about several coinsidences that I have experinced in or to do with Bali

1) In 1984, a year after our first trip to Bali our neighbours went to Bali and stayed at the Basaki hotel in Sanur. On their return they were showing us their photos. One photo, taken by a staff member at the restaurant in the hotel of them having breakfast! and on the next table behind them was my sister and her husband! neither new each other or had spoken to each other and I didn't know my sister had been or was going to Bali!!!!!!!

2) 1994. We stayed at the Bounty hotel and it was about half full. we went out with several couples for dinner and tours. One couple who were very quiet and shyish came a long and we all enjoyed each others company, his name was David and came from Melbourne the same as we do. Three months after this trip my dishwasher packed up and I had to go to the other side of Melbourne to get a part from the manufacture and who was the person who served me? David!!!!!!

3) 1997 or 98. We again stayed at the Bounty Hotel. One of our favourite waitresses, Wayan wasn't there and we were told that she had married an Australian and moved to Oz. Nobody new where in Oz, so we thought we would never see Wayan again. Back in Melbourne, I worked as a crowd controller in our local hotel and to my suprise when I was working the first night back, who was waitressing and still is toady? Wayan!!!!! We still see her and enjoy wayan's home cooking from time to time> She now has three lovely children.

4) 2003 On Air Paradise going to Bali, the flight was about a quarter full. There were twelve of us travelling together and around our group was another group going over for a wedding. We got talking together and found out that we were all from Berwick! A small coinsidence. we are still friends today and travel to Bali together.


I know that if you stay at the same place than it is possible to run into several people that we/you have meet before, but when it is 7 years apart and at a different time of year and two different lots of people than it is a wonderfull coinsidence. This happened to us 3 years ago and it was such a thrill to see these people again.
