you can bargain up front during low season & get a deluxe room for $24. thats US dollars. this girl we met at the 24 hour mart on monkey road told us all about it. she was travelling alone so we hung out w/ her for a couple of days. she never got harassed & she was quite fit & pretty. for the most part, u wont get harassed if u dont dress like a ho. and by that i mean showing extreme amounts of skin.just realize that ur in a hindu paradise in a sea of islam & that will be enough of a reality check for most young women who travel. and there are TONS of women that travel in bali. mostly for the yoga retreats & what not. hope u enjoy ur stay. i DEFINITELY did. :)
