I can assure you I did not have to "bargain hard" for the price of Rp125,000.
I actually had a booking at Warjihouse Bungalows, but when I arrived to check in, there was no-one around. I waited for about half an hour, but still no-one turned up.
Eventually, I walked out into the lane (with my suitcase rolling behind me), only to be accosted by every bungalow tout within cooee.
The young guy from Gayatri 2 Bungalows asked me how much I was quoted for Warjihouse (Rp110,000 quoted price, no bargaining involved here!) and he offered me a fan room for Rp125,000. I checked out the room, took a look around and agreed to stay for a few nights. He was happy and I was happy. No big deal!!
That's the entire story, so I'd suggest that the next time you're about to put fingers to keyboard after making incorrect assumptions about "ripping off the locals", you request more information first;o)
You have a nice day now :-)
