Hello all,
I'm travelling to Indonesia on November 30, planning to stay in Ubud at first. I've been to Bali several times but it's been more than 3 years since I last stayed in Ubud. Can anyone recommend some good, cheap, SAFE losmens/homestays (ie no sleazy guys hanging around the place- we are 2 young women travelling alone and unfortunately I've had some bad experiences)? We're not too fussy- it just has to be *clean*, with nice owners, ideally under Rp 80 000-100 000 per night. I'm aiming for one with a nice homely kind of feel.

Usually I just walk into a random losmen upon arrival, but as I'm travelling with a friend, I'd prefer to have something booked for peace of mind (hopefully I can call in advance). Also I'm reluctant to go trudging through the streets with our luggage in the middle of the rainy season (we arrive around 4pm, which I think is when the rain hits).

I'm always raving on about Indonesia, so I want my friend to have a really nice, authentic, non-touristy first trip to the country!

Many thanks!
