Which is easier arriving in Bali or Departing

My girlfriend & I are taking our Mums to Bali later in the year. We're going for 2 wks but our Mums only want 1 wk. They have never been before and aren't confident ladies, so I'm wondering would it be easier to arrive by themselves or depart? They both will have no clue what to do, & we won't be able to show them, as we can't go into the Airport.
