We are in Bali now and my brother has been diagnosed with Dengue Fever. He was quite sick for a couple of days but today is feeling much better (which can happend before feeling ill again)
BIMC has suggested that he stay in hospital for a few days. We have read that there is no treatment for dengue fever except keep your fluids up so we are a bit confused why they would suggest for him to stay in hospital - he did ask and they said also that there is no treatment.
Has anyone been hospitalised with dengue fever and if so what treatment were you given?
He is currently trying to decide if he should fly home tonight (whilst he is feeling ok) or go to hospital here (I know that no one can make that decision for him).
just for myself, any info would be much appreciated....thank you
