and you can get dual citizenship for your child, it is not worth getting the Indonesian passport (believe me I did it), I too thought that I would be smart and left Oz with my husband and little girl, she flew out on Aust Passport and then into Bali on Indo passport, we went to fly out of Bali on her Indonesian passport and we were hauled into Immigration as she has no visa in it. I told them she had dual citizenship and they said that the little white card you get with it suffices in the Aust passport (she does not have to pay VOA) etc. Till you can get this done (it takes about 6 months), we just went on the domestic side with my husband and they were fine with it.
