Customs hassle at perth

Customs hassle .Here goes JBR to follow soon. did the righty and declared all wood .. no problems . we had 4 boxes containing metal wall art .. boxes scanned , we are the only ones left at customs . Customs 'girl' comes over and question me about multiple items in boxes . Then comes over her supervisor . I tell em they are gift , for us and friends .. We buy up when we go to Bali .. She asks if I have any receipts .. Sh$t , receipts in Bali .. then I remember some of the stock I ordered and paid deposits , so I produce this paperwork .. The supervisor then says why do you have receipts if they are not for commercial use .. I explain that I had to order these things as we buy from factory (back of house) direct , much cheaper . We have to buy min 10 , 20 what ever they request . We get 10 for the same price as 3 on the streets in Kuta.. It's 6.30 am kids (12,14,16) are tired sitting on ground , 2 customs staff keep asking questions , turning backs to us , then asking more questions . They go away then come back , ask why we go to Bali 3 times in 12 months . By now I'm spewing . At $131 return I can afford to go 3 times. I tell em whats in the boxes as its not all receipted .The guy asks how much over weight our luggage was , I advise him we were 40kgs under . She then tells us we can be fined $20,000 for not filling out form properly . I tell her I did fill it out properly . I'm actually very calm , although not impressed . She tells us on future traveling customs will know about this as it will appear on their system . We payed duty . $100, the didn't really explain our options . I ask what about people bringing in 20 sarongs , shirts etc .. she says that different. 1hr later we leave and can't believe what happened.
