After reading previous posts regarding changes to Pacific Blue flights I checked on my flights in July and sure enough our Friday direct to Denpasar leaving at 12.00 was changed to an 8.00 in the morning flight to Denpasar via Melbourne. Our return flight now left at 1.10 in the morning instead of 13.30 in the afternoon and was on the following day!
When I told the service person that this was not satisfactory I was told that my type of ticket did not allow for changes! I in turn informed them that I had NOT made any changes and the changes had been made by Pacific Blue. After 20 minutes on hold I was told that i could get an afternoon flight back via Perth provided I was willing to then have a 6 hour transit in Perth before my midnight flight back to Sydney.
The upshot of this debacle is that we will now be leaving (on a direct flight) a day earlier than we planned and leaving 2 days later. 3 extra days in Bali is great but I now have to see if I can book the extra nights accommodation at the same hotels. I am also in the position to have these extra days off work and afford the cost of 3 extra nights but what would have been the alternative?
No more flights with PB for me.
p.s. i was told that the email informing me of these changes was in the system but when this would arrive was anyone's guess.
