Just had the best most relaxing four days of my life up in Ubud. Shame about the customs officer at Denpasar airport who removed two almost full bottles of Chivas Regal and Kahlua from our checked in luggage and claimed we were not alllowed to take them to Australia!! What rubbish! They were bought and paid for in Perth duty free and a few nips taken out over the few days in Ubud, so thought nothing of packing them carefully to return with us to perth.

All we could do was smile sweetly and comply with the removal while the nice customs officer talked about the $100 fine we were avoiding.

Just to be sure, we checked with Customs Australia and you can bring opened bottles back in to Australia, packed into your checked in luggage as long as it is under the allowable limit. Anyone else had this happen?? What would you do?
