We got back from Bali last week, and there is something that is still bothering me - why on earth do tourists think it is a great idea to stand in front of the Bali bomb memorial with a bunch of their friends/fmaily, with big, stupid grins on their faces, and pose for photos??
Seriously, do they not actually realise what they are posing in front of, or are they just majorly lacking in respect for those that died? Do they think its a tourist landmark, where they just HAVE to have their photo taken?
We went past the memorial twice and stopped to have a look, and pay our respects, as did other Aussies. Both times, huge groups of tourists (I wont mention nationalities in case I get accused of racism, as Ive seen before on forums!) tried to push us out of the way so they could get a good photo! We are not agressive or confrontational people, but I was so mad at them for showing no respect that I refused to move and even contemplated telling them off and asking if they even knew what they were smiling for....

Ok, rant over, just had to get that off my chest, it's been bugging me since the night it happened!
