domestic/change terminal in sydney

hi everyone...
i read a post a while ago now regarding changing terminals in sydney... i am flying from brisbane to sydney and there is a flight that arrives at 7.25 am and i am to check in at garuda at 8am... will this be enough time to collect bags and change to the international terminal? or am i better to book my domestic flight the day before and stay a night.. i would hate to miss my flight to bali!
