We arrived in Sydney around 4pm and our flight departed at 6pm. We had plenty of time, but our luggage was checked thru from Melb to Bali. We changed terminals and actually boarded the aircraft at 5.30, with time to duty free shop as well.
Assuming your departure time is a couple of hours after the Garuda check in time ie about 11am, then you should have plenty of time.
