Although i have been to bali about 18 times my knowledge of local language or phrases is quite limited. I thought i would share my few phrases with those who may not know any.

Please note they wont be spelt right LOL or be translated exactly - but i will write them as they sound. these i have learnt from the Balinese locals.

Terimah Kasih "thank you"

sama sama "your welcome"

Sin can can "no worries"

Sing ala Pis "no money" in other words i wont be buying anything lol

Bagus Akali "delicious food" also another one is Bagus enutsa

Suttoo Luggie "one more" as in one more bintang LOL

duo Luggie "two more" dont try to find out the translation for please to add on the end as apparantly its not appropriate. i just say please as well - LOL

Also a bit of trivia - bintang actually means "star" which is pretty obvious as there is a star on the bottle LOL but i was mortified at a quiz night last year when there was a question as to what bintang meant literally, i thought the star was just a logo like the Bundy bear is for Bundaberg Rum.

If anybody has any other phrases I havent heard yet, please share it would be most appreciated thanks :)
