I'd argue the "bagus sekali" (Bagus Akali "delicious food") suggestion though, and say that "enak sekali" would be more appropriate, meaning very delicious.
You're right that the spelling isn't right for them, but it pretty much makes sense if you say it how you've spelled it out, so no need to correct them.
