spending money

We are going in November...family of 5; Mum,Dad, 9 year old and two 5 year olds. All of us are counting the days!

We are staying at Dynasty, kiddy suites, (brekky NOT included in our package)and wonder how much spending money we will need for 11 days?

I know this is a bit like "how long is a piece of string...", but as a rough guide, would $2000 - $2500 AUS be enough?

We want to do all the usual things, waterbom, elephant rides, shopping for DVD's, eating out and drinking bintangs a lot (as seems customary in Bali! LOL) etc, and don't want to have to watch our pennies too closely.
Don't want to leave ourselves short, planning to take over only Aussie dollars, (no travellers cheques) but probably don't want to take buckets more than we'll need. We have a mastercard, but i expect that would be for emergency only...

Any ideas from you experienced Bali - ites?
