of 4 we usually allowed $200 per day (except in Singapore when we allowed $300 per day and struggled to spend it).
Food is cheap, shopping is cheap and if you stock up on snacks and water and bintang etc at makro when you get there it helps.
Attraction prices though are not cheap....like Waterbom and Bird park and Zoo etc, just similar to home i think.
Of course if you want to shop in the boutiques and eat at more expensive restaurants then you would need more probably.
I used the Visa card for anything bought in Mataharis or department stores and at the hotel. ( Don't forget to ring the bank 2 weeks before you go and let them know where you are travelling to and for how long so thay can keep an eye on your card incase of fraud.)
One more thing.....this is for a holiday up to 2 weeks......if you were to go any longer then you would spend alot more time by the pool relaxing and probably not squeezing everything in....so you probably still wouldn't need any more.
But if you have got it...take it :)Split it with your wife for safety and put into your safe and change that amount each day.
My ways anyway.
