I think it will be enough. If I were you, I'd pop anything like the elephants and waterbom on the Mastercard, so it frees up your cash. When you get home, if you have cash left over, whack it on the Mastercard.
Just to be on the safe side, I'd aim for around the $2,500 mark rather than the $2,000 mark.
