The PCR thing is certainly a gamble, and will remain so for a while.
Larger family groups trying to travel together are particularly at risk of disruption, purely on the fact the greater the number in the group, the higher the risk.
Of course, had your SIL boarded, he would have shown positive at the other end, so shunted into quarantine anyway.
Also, other travellers would have been compromised.
Covid will continue to play a part in our lives.
As far as Jetstar go, they really need to keep up with the shifting landscape that is requirements for Bali travel.
Most on here are up with the play so they should be too.
