rubbish disposal

Am wondering if anyone knows what happens with the rubbish collected. As tourists we create a lot of rubbish, via restaurants, plastic bags etc. Is there any recycling, composting etc. Does the rubbish go to landfill or burnt. Bali is a small island and I'm concerned about our environmental impact. thanks.
