a lot would go to the rubbish dump / landfill.
one I know of is on the bypass.. heading from kuta to sanur it's on the right hand side of the road behind buildings.
if you know where to look you can see it from the road - the rubbish pile is huge :(
some people on the forum support the small school and families living in the rubbish dump..
