The most comfortable would be to fly to Lombok then a cab to sengigi beach area where you can catch a small boat to any of the 3 islands that are pretty close to the shore.
The speed boat is the quickest and easiest but even being quite adventurous I felt quite worried both ways,I dont feel the safety is up to scratch on some of the speed boats and the Lombok straight can get pretty rough.
Thee Hotel Villa Ombak or Ko Ko Mo would be my choice if i wanted high quality accommodation.
I have not been for 2.5 years so it may have changed?
We stayed at The Beach House close to Villa ombak not high quality but better than some of the other places for the same price and their villa would be worth the cost.
There were some other high end places but at the time in my opinion were too far from everything and a bit isolated. :)
