Accommododation for solo traveller

Happy New Year Everyone, hope its a fantastic time for all.

Planning my first solo trip to Bali and unfamiliar with Kuta/legian area.

Any suggestions of good places to stay in Kuta/Legian area (less than $50 pernight),
suited to the solo traveller,
would be appreciated.

PS I am very happy and confident with my stay in Sanur and from news I have been reading in here, cant wait to sample the new and exciting nightlife in Sanur :)
