any gender any age then staying in and around poppies 1 in kuta is the best bet in my opinion.

If you stay at a place like SGI you will meet or see other regular holiday makers who frequent this area and are always obliging and friendly.

A lot of return visitors stay in this area even though they can afford to stay at a beach side hotel or upmarket hotel and its good to see the same people in the same restaurants month after month, year after year and still quite happy with everything.

There are many small hotels like SGI, people find their favorite and stick to it.

The SGI is spars and tacky in ways with simple rooms an empty fridge, tvs that you cant get channels on :) but even as a late returner at night you find yourself tiptoeing in as not to disturb the other guests.

No young teens and kids is a big plus especially around the pool as is the lack of pool chair hogs

You can get everything you need from the one area with ease and its pretty safe anytime night or day plus you can stumble to the cheapest variety of quality eats there is without the long sweaty walk.

Its cheaper than most other areas and you dont get hassled by sellers or street touts.

After staying in and around poppies 1 the past few years i dont think I could stay elsewhere in the Kuta or Legian area.
