?? streamlining/ vip in airport

hi, i am thinking of having my dad pay extra money to get thru the airport quicker in july, he is travelling alone and has never been to a country like this before, he is meeting us there... can anyone give me info on exactly what happens with that and is it worth it??? thankyou so much for any info.
