It does not affect the speed at which your bags come round on the carousel, but this does not normally take long anyway.
The VIP service providers will usually fast track you through the customs process also.
If you do a search for Murti or Hadi, both of these will look after you for around AUD27 each, or you can book through your travel agent at generally much higher prices.
Please be aware that the times taken for all the processes can differ depending on the time of day, other flights and luck.
