I am looking for an agent who can obtain for my friend a police check - Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (Police Record).
We have been unable to obtain one directly from the police in her home town due to you know what - they keep saying that she doesn't have the right documents but we all know that she does. They just want extra money :( and even if we pay they do not produce.
i contacted a lawyer in Jakarta who would do it for US$1250 and I turned him down and he requoted at 9 million rupiah. Surely it must be easier than this (and cheaper).
My friend is in total despair and cries herself to sleep every night.
