Not saying those foundations are not wonderful because they are. But we put kids in school for 200,000rp each per year - 120 of them.
School is free to primary school kids, and in most Northern Villagers, if there is a high school it is also free, it's just books and uniforms that cost the money. A uniform set for a child is 120,000rp, shoes 40,000rp, stationery 30,000rp (for one year).
Children in our area will walk up to 8 kms per day to get to the nearest school (they take their shoes off so they don't wear them out on the walk)
