Airfares - what to do and when to do it.

Looking at returning in May 10. (only got back two weeks ago and have to go back asap).
I have never booked the airfares myself, we have always used an agent.
Looking all over the net the cheapest I can find is $871 with virgin -direct from Sydney.
garuda is around $999 at the moment.

I am keen to book something now as I always seem to pay more the longer I wait.

I have bookmarked all the on line booking sites, and joined up for all the email alerts.

So can I have a show of hands who thinks that between now and then I will be able to pick up cheaper flights from sydney and that I should wait to book, even though not being booked will drive me crazy!
