Hubby and I are staying at PR in Dec 09 for the first time. Usually stay at Kumala Pantai, if we stay on the coast at all (we are Ubud lovers), or further up Seminyak way. We have been to Bali more than 30 times over a 25 year period.
Reviews of Puri Raja on this forum range from rants describing it as full of beer swilling louts to laudatory posts saying how wonderful the staff is; how great breakfast is (and how disappointing it was!)how you can't get a lounge by the pool etc. etc.
I'm not really able to get a true picture of the main demographic which frequents this place.
Can someone reassure me that the Puri Raja isn't going to be full of noisy, boozing, Aussie (or their ilk from other nations) loudmouths who will hog all the pool lounges and have beer swilling competitions outside our window until 2am?
And...we enjoy a drink and a laugh ourselves so don't want to be booking into a Balinese retirement village either!
