one, relating to the "type" of person now staying at Barong, and two, relating to hotel and staff management of services.
No real excuse for the second issue and it seems that as places get fully booked and ongoing demand is so high, levels of service become less important for managers/owners.
In other words, "if you don't like it, lump it!!!"
There is also little appetite for controlling late night episodes, so basically as the drink goes down, the mayhem escallates.
Perhaps to a degree you can thank Air Asia and other LLC for the decline in behaviour and total thoughtlesness of some people (Kids)staying at budget hotels.
Bali holidays are now an option for people who previously would have struggled to afford a trip to the coast in a station wagon.
I am loath to catagorise people, but regretfully it seems that the "schoolie/toolie" types are now moving in in greater numbers, and these people have little idea how to behave and even less idea how to consider others.
It is a great shame, because this shift in demographic forces young families to "move up" to more expensive accomodation to escape the rabble, and this imposes additional costs onto those least able to afford it.
