Mandira hotel and after coming from 4 nights in Ubud I was horrified at the loud Aussie sheila in the foya yelling out to her yobbo like mates. It was a culture shock for me (and they were my own culture and age!!). I cringed but soon adapted to the louder Kuta environment and doubt the same cringe factor would have hit me on my last day there.

Then a few years back, staying at the Champlung Mas I had a group of teenage boys from Darwin staying above us that sounded like they had elephants and furniture removers in their room all night long and during the day they shot their BB guns at each other over the balcony and back luck if you got hit in the cross fire.

These folk have always been in bali (they are basically us just maybe a little drunker or roudier) - and with the price rises in accomodation I think all demographics of Aussies are being sqwished together in the same budget to middle hotels.
