My husband phoned Island Bound this morning and below is an email he received from them after the phone call. It doesn't look good. He will be getting in touch with our credit card company today hopefully they will be more helpfull. So much for getting our refunds within six weeks. Not happy Jan.

Dear Sir/Madam,

We refer to the current problems surrounding the refund of your travel fares.

As you may be aware Indojet Asia charters aircraft from Ozjet Pty Ltd (Deed of Company Arrangement), all fares paid by passengers have been paid in advance to Ozjet as part of the Charter Agreement between Ozjet and Indojet.

Ozjet as you would by now have heard in the news have gone under administration.

The administrator of Ozjet has refused to refund any of the fares already paid by Indojet for flights that have been cancelled as the administrator considers the fares paid by passengers to be unsecured debts.

As the fares are considered to be unsecured, the administrators will only make payments to Indojet once all of Ozjet's administration has been concluded.

The management of Indojet apologises for the inconvenience caused to its passengers and promises to resolve the issue with Ozjet at the earliest opportunity.

We will keep you informed of the progress of this matter.
