Interesting way of putting it. The Monkey Forest was never meant to be a tourist attraction, like the zoo, elephant park, etc. Monkeys in Bali (as in India) are honored because their army, led by General Hanoman, helped Rama free his wife from the Bad Guy. Personally, I can't stand the little b***tards and avoid the place like the plague, Hanoman or no Hanoman!! Cheers.
