A not so good BIMC story

I've been meaning to post this for some time. Last month, we watched the very impressive BIMC ambulance pull up at our hotel. A poor woman was very ill, and was helped down the stairs, then onto a stretcher in the back of the ambulance. They certainly appeared very efficient, with their 'doctor' bags etc. They also helped a youngish kid into the ambulance.

BUT, and this is the best bit.....the poor woman was vomiting constantly, and they put her on her back on the stretcher in the ambulance, and left her there choking. Her husband was shouting at them, panicked(as you'd expect!!!) to turn her on to her side so she could breathe.

Now, call me pedantic, wouldn't you expect them to understand the importance of the coma position???? If they can't get that right, what else do they do wrong? It was a bit of an eye opener, a rather shocking one at that.
